Guides
Three guides: how to work out what a card is worth, whether grading it pays for itself and which price app to use. All written by a working card-show dealer, none of them quoting a grading fee or a population number that would be stale within months. Updated 2026-09-27.
Long guides, written for the moment before money changes hands rather than for someone browsing. The first is about value: how to pin down the exact print you own, judge its condition the way a grader will, read sold prices instead of asking prices, and work out what you would actually keep after fees. The second is about grading: the arithmetic of the fee against the raw-to-graded spread, how to predict the grade you will really get, and the cases where staying raw is the better trade. The third compares the price apps people actually use, credits what each does better than this one, and says plainly who this one is wrong for.
Neither the value guide nor the grading guide quotes a grading fee or a population number. Both change, and a guide that prints one is wrong within months, so where a figure matters the guide tells you where to look up the current one instead.
