The brand is 102

v1.13.0 New

A mark of our own: the wordmark reads 102, and its 0 is a trend ring with a rising price line breaking out of it, drawn in each theme's own colours. Every link the app hands you now opens what its words say.

The first mark was a stand-in. It shipped so the app would not be unbranded, not because it was the answer, and once the product had a name of its own, OneZeroTwo, it needed a mark of its own to go with it.

Four candidates were drawn: a coin, a grading seal, a trend ring and a split ring. The pick was the trend ring. The wordmark reads 102, and its 0 is a ring with a rising price line that breaks out of it to a dot. It is drawn in the current theme's two accent colours, so it re-skins with all 102 palettes without a separate asset for each, and the ring's outer edge is exactly the height of the digits beside it. The name stays OneZeroTwo: that is the text a screen reader speaks and a search engine reads, and the drawing is decoration to both.

It lives on the rail, the phone's top bar, the landing, the reset-password card, the public pages, the favicon and the app icons, and since October on the 1200 by 630 banner a shared link previews with. Three days after it shipped the 0 was lowered onto the digits' baseline, after we noticed it sat a hair below their centre in some fonts; it now sits within about one percent in every font we measured.

The same release fixed something the brand made visible: a link should open what its words say. An alert email's Open your watchlist had been opening the landing page. Now every emailed and shared link is built by one builder and read back through the app's own router in a test, a sign-in that a link asked for ends on the page the link named, and a shared card link previews as that card.
